The abductors of Babatunde Nurudeen, a recent graduate of Offa Federal Polytechnic, have demanded a staggering sum of ₦30 million ransom from the family for safe release.

This was revealed during a phone call made by the kidnappers to the family of the abducted student on Wednesday.

Recall that ADULAWO NEWS had earlier reported that Babatunde Nurudeen was among several individuals taken hostage while traveling in a commercial bus en route to National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Orientation Camp in Ogun State on Tuesday.

According to Nurudeen’s father, he explained that his son boarded the bus at Iwo Road, near the bridge. And that his son dutifully informed him of his safe arrival at Iwo Road and even provided updates once the journey commenced.

However, the situation took a terrifying turn later in the afternoon when Nurudeen’s father received a distressing call from his son, informing him that he had been kidnapped. Since that alarming phone call, the worried father has been unable to establish contact with his son, until the abductors themselves reached out to demand a hefty ransom of ₦30 million for his release.
