Nigerians woke up to the news of the alleged resignation of the National Chairman of his ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abdullahi Adamu, which has aroused a lot of reaction.
Recall that ADULAWO NEWS had earlier reported that Adamu himself had broken his silence about his reported resignation.

Hitherto, there had been indications that Adamu was pressured to turn in his resignation letter while President Bola Tinubu was out of the country for an African Union (AU) meeting in Kenya.
Adamu, speaking on the controversial development in a chat with Daily Trust, promised not to comment on the matter until President Tinubu returns from the AU’s meeting.
The former governor of Nasarawa State said, “I won’t talk about the issue because the president is away.”
However, a source that spoke with the platform revealed that Adamu submitted his resignation letter to the Chief of Staff of the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, around 4 pm on Sunday.

The source said, “He has resigned. The resignation letter signed by him has been sent to the villa. The letter was addressed to President Tinubu. But since the president is away in Kenya for the AU meeting, the letter was sent to his chief of staff.”
A source close to Adamu also confirmed the development; he said, “The national chairman resigned following a gang up by people around the president to embarrass him during the meetings of the party slated for tomorrow and Wednesday.”

Naija News has also gathered that APC spokesman Felix Morka has refused to react to the development.
According to Vanguard, Morka, did not respond to messages seeking his confirmation of the report.
However, some members of the party’s National Working Committee(NWC) expressed surprised at the development, saying they were also shocked by the report of Adamu’s resignation and that they cannot comment on what they do not know of.

“We can’t comment in what we don’t know.
“As expected, the NWC is supposed to meet on Monday ahead of Tuesday’s Caucus meeting and Wednesday’s NEC meeting. Adamu hasn’t told us anything about his resignation or otherwise,” one of the members said.
