Former Nigeria’s Head of State Abdulsalami Abubakar-led Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) delegation has landed in Naimy for a final discussion with the military junta led by General Abdourahamane Tchiani.

ADULAWO NEWS reports that ECOWAS delegation will be joined by United Nations Special Representative for West Africa and the Sahel, Leonardo Santos Simao, who arrived on Friday.

It was gathered that the visit of the delegation is coming a day after the region’s military chiefs said they were ready to intervene to reinstate ousted President Mohamed Bazoum.
