The recent appointment of Tola Odeyemi as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Post Master General of the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been rejected by the staff of the agency.
ADULAWO NEWS recalls that President Tinubu’s spokesperson, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, announced last week that some changes were made in the leadership of communication agencies, including NIPOST.
Reports, however, emerged shortly after the announcement claiming that the sacked Post Master-General, Adeyemi Adepoju, had been reinstated.

ADULAWO NEWS gathered in a viral video, Adepoju was seen addressing some workers who claimed Tinubu had reappointed him.
Subsequently, on Monday morning, NIPOST workers shut down the head office of the service in Abuja, protesting against Odeyemi’s appointment.
The protesting workers denied entry to the newly appointed NIPOST CEO, saying her appointment was against their wish.

The workers, who said they preferred Adepoju, chanted solidarity songs and carried placards.
