OSBC NUJ Visits Igbajo Polytechnic

The Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, OSBC Chapel, and the Management of Igbajo Polytechnic, Igbajo Osun, State, have agreed to go into partnership that would help shape the life of the students and youths, who are generally regarded as the leaders of tomorrow.

The bi-lateral relationship was agreed on today (Wednesday, 6-12-2023) during a courtesy visit by the executive committee of the NUJ, OSBC Chapel, led by their chairman, Alhaji Lateef Agboola, to the management of the first community owned polytechnic in Nigeria.

Speaking, the new Rector of Igbajo Polytechnic, Dr. Abdganiyu Adebisi, who appreciated the executive members of the NUJ, OSBC Chapel, for deeming it feet to visit the higher institution of learning; lauded the pen pushers for also taking extraordinary step aimed at changing the life of the youth for better, which he pledged would be to be implemented to the letter as soon as it is put in black and white.

Dr Adebisi, flanked by other members of the management team, including the Deputy Rector, Engr Monsuru Okandeji; the Registrar, Mrs Bukola Odetola and the Acting Bursar, Mr. Taiwo Aina; stressed the need for community efforts to address the unemployment problem bedeviling the country, as being done currently by the people of Igbajo community.

Earlier, the chairman of NUJ, OSBC Chapel, Comrade Lateef Agboola, had congratulated Dr. Abdganiyu Adebisi, on his appointment as the new Rector of Igbajo Polytechnic and called on the management of the school to partner with the union, in a bilateral relationship that would help mould the future of the students of the school with involvement of veteran journalists among other elderly persons, who have made their marks in their choosing career.

The executive members NUJ, OSBC Chapel also visited the palace of Olororuwo of Ororuwo in Boripe local government area of Osun state, Oba Qamarudeen Adeyanju Alawode the fourth; who urged the leadership of the union, to always be transparent and lead with fear of God, so as to write their names on the sand of time, after which he showered royal blessings on the NUJ Exco members, the OSBC family, Osun State and Nigeria as a whole###
