BREAKING: Lekki Seaport Berths Largest Container Vessel

The largest container ship ever dock in Nigeria, the 13,092 TEU Maersk Edirne, has safely berthed at Lekki Port, the country’s deepest seaport.

ADULAWO News reports that approximately 2:42 pm on Sunday, January 21, the cargo ship docked at Lekki Port.

One of the thirteen massive container ships that make up the new CMA CGM WAX service is the Maersk Edirne with a length overall (LOA) of 366 metres and a width of 48 metres.

It will sail between major ports in Abidjan, Qingdao, Shanghai, Xiamen, Singapore, and Lekki Port, the only Nigerian port included in this remarkable port rotation.
