The Osun Online Publishers Association (OOPA) is set to hold its 4th edition of Media Parley, a programme aimed at promoting accountability and good governance in Osun State.
The event, scheduled for Saturday, May 4th, 2024, at 4:00 pm in Osogbo, the state capital, will feature Engr. Kehinde Raji (AARAJ), Founder of Aaraj Empowerment Foundation, as the guest speaker.
According to a statement signed by Ismail Kolapo and Yusuf Idowu, Chairman and Secretary of the Media Parley Committee, respectively, the programme will be streamed live on Facebook ((link unavailable)) to allow global participation and contributions.
The theme of the Media Parley, “Digging into Politics, Governance, and Dividends,” is designed to bring together public servants, stakeholders in Osun’s development, and aspiring political office holders to share their achievements, plans, and vision for the state. The event will provide a platform for citizens to engage with their leaders and hold them accountable for their actions.
The Media Parley Committee has invited various stakeholders, including government officials, political leaders, and civil society organizations, to participate in the event. The committee has also extended an invitation to the general public to attend the event and participate in the discussion.
OOPA, a body of online publishers in Osun State, has been organizing the Media Parley since 2020 to promote good governance, accountability, and transparency in the state. The event has become a platform for citizens to engage with their leaders and hold them accountable for their actions.
The 4th edition of the Media Parley promises to be an insightful and engaging discussion, and the public is invited to join in person or online to contribute to the conversation.
