FLASH: Samson Ajao Hits 100 Hours in Guinness World Record Reading Marathon Attempt

In an incredible display of endurance and literary passion, Samson Ajao has reached the 100-hour mark in his attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest marathon reading.

ADULAWO NEWS reports that As at 4: 50 pm today, Ajao has been reading aloud continuously for 100 hours, surpassing a significant milestone in his quest to shatter the current record of 124 hours set by Rysbai Isakov from Turkey in 2022.

Ajao, a staff member of a law firm and a self-proclaimed book lover, began his marathon reading attempt on May 6, 2024, at the Osun State capital. Despite showing signs of fatigue, he remains determined to push through and reach his goal of 214 hours.

Ajao’s reading material includes a diverse range of books on various subjects, including literature, history, science, and philosophy. His attempt is being monitored by official Guinness World Record adjudicators, who are verifying the attempt and ensuring that all rules and regulations are being followed.
