NSCDC Recovers Stolen Motorcycles, Arrests Serial Snatcher In Osun

The NSCDC Osun State Command has arrested a suspected serial motorcycle thief, Wahab Saburi, 27, of Obada Compound, Ede, Osun State. The arrest was made on May 11, 2024, at Oke-Ola Area, Ede, by NSCDC personnel who were on patrol in the area.
This was revealed in a statement issued by the
Command spokesperson ASC Kehinde Adeleke, in Osogbo on Wednesday.

According to the suspect’s confession, he has been stealing motorcycles for three years and uses a master key to unlock them. He revealed that he stole a motorcycle parked in front of an apartment at Oke-Ola, Ede, on the day of his arrest. Four stolen motorcycles were found in his room, allegedly stolen from Agip area, Ayo-Omoba, Obada, and Ede. He sells the stolen motorcycles for N40,000 each and has an accomplice in a popular Ede market who prepares fake sales agreements.

Commandant Michael Adaralewa assured the public that all accomplices will face justice and the corps will continue to combat criminal activity in the state. He praised the efforts of the NSCDC personnel who made the arrest and encouraged the public to report any criminal activity to the corps.

The suspect is currently in custody and will be charged to court upon completion of investigation.
