Emirates Airlines has announced its return to Nigeria, resuming flight services and operations from October 1, 2024. The airline’s Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, Adnan Kazim, made the announcement in a statement from Dubai.
After a two-year hiatus, Emirates will once again operate a daily service between Lagos and Dubai, offering customers more choices and connectivity from Nigeria’s largest city to Dubai and beyond. The service will be operated using a Boeing 777-300ER, with flights departing Dubai at 0945hrs and arriving in Lagos at 1520hrs. The return flight will depart Lagos at 1730hrs and arrive in Dubai at 0510hrs the next day.
Tickets are now available for booking on emirates.com or through travel agents. Emirates’ management expressed gratitude to the Nigerian government for their partnership and support in re-establishing this route. Kazim stated, “We are excited to resume our services to Nigeria. The Lagos-Dubai service has traditionally been popular with customers in Nigeria, and we hope to reconnect leisure and business travelers to Dubai and onwards to our network of over 140 destinations.”
