Reality TV star Mercy Eke has disclosed that she has more than N100 million deposited with the now-closed Heritage Bank.
She said this following news that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has revoked the operating license of Heritage Bank and is in the process of liquidation by the Nigerian Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC).
However, the Nigerian Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) has promised depositors that they will receive an insured sum of up to N5 million.
Blaming herself via her X handle on Thursday, June 6, she mentioned how uncertain she feels about the news although hoping for the best outcome.
She wrote: “I really don’t know (sic) how to react about this … I have been hoping for the best thinking there’s a way out…. #heritagebank…….I do… and have above 100m with them.”
Talking about her account manager she said: “She lured me into fixing my money, knowing fully well there’s been issues with the bank … I don’t have words for her, I blame myself.”
