In a bid to enhance living standards, the Osun State Government and the Community Development Agency (CDA) have commissioned four micro-projects in various communities across the state.
ADULAWO NEWS reports that the projects, aimed at providing improved access to clean water, sanitation, and education, were commissioned in Molodo, Alawe, Oke Ayo, and Modakeke communities.
Governor Adeleke who was represented by Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Professor Ademola Adeleke at the commissioning of four different projects in Ile-Ife and Modakeke on Monday.
Addressing beneficiaries of the micro projects Adeleke said his government was able to implement the projects because residents of the the project sites allowed peace to continue to reign in their communities.
He, however, assured them that his government with bring more intervention programs to them, urged them to continue to support him in his bid to transform the state.
“Where there is no peace, the government will not be able to do what it supposed to do.
“What we have done is just a beginning and this can be done with the support you give.
“I want to urge you to maintain the projects because that is the essence of the five percent counterpart fund you contributed.”

The micro projects commissioned are ; motorised borehole and VIP toilet at Molodo Community and Alawe community, Sabo.
Others are, motorised borehole at Oke Ayo, Ile Funfun Community and renovated school hall of the Apostolic Grammar School, Modakeke.
Speaking, Commissioner for Community and Rural Development, Hon.Gani Olaoluwa, who commissioned the micro projects on behalf of the governor urged beneficiaries to make good use of the micro projects.
He noted that Governor Adeleke is doing everything possible to ensure that dividends of democracy get to the grassroots.
On her part, Mrs. Funmi Abokede, General Manager of the Osun Community and Social Development Agency (Osun-CSDA), commended Governor Ademola Adeleke for his timely release of funds, which facilitated the completion of the micro-projects.
“Governor Adeleke’s prompt funding enabled us to deliver these projects efficiently,” Abokede said.
Abokede congratulated the beneficiaries, urging them to utilize and maintain the projects for future generations.
Expressing their happiness, some of the residents of the beneficiary communities, said the project will make life more easier for them.
Prince Adefioye Bakare, a resident of the area said the commitment of Governor Ademola Adeleke to rural development is commendable.
According to a middle age woman mama Saheed, Molodo community said she used to go outside the communities to use a public toilet.
Thanking the governor and Osun-CSDA, mama Saheed said with the commissioning of the project in her community they can get access to portable water and VIP toilet.
