Osun NSCDC Rescues, Reunites Lost Children With Parents

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Osun State Command.(NSCDC)  has successfully reunited two lost children with their families.

 

According to State Commandant, Michael Adaralewa, PhD, in a press statement issued by the by the command spokesperson ASC Kehinde Adeleke, in Osogbo on Wednesday, revealed that NSCDC personnel on patrol found a 12-year-old boy wandering around Lameco, Osogbo, at 11 pm. The boy claimed he ran away from his guardian’s house due to inadequate food.

Upon investigation, it was discovered that the boy has a high appetite, and despite being provided with two meals a day, he remained unsatisfied. The boy was reunited with his guardian.

In another incident, on August 31, 2024, an 8-year-old girl was found wandering at Apara Area, Osunjela, Ilesha Road, and was taken to the nearest NSCDC office by a good Samaritan. She was later reunited with her parents.

Commandant Adaralewa commended the public for their cooperation and urged proactive intelligence to ensure child safety, especially during the holiday period.

The command is working with sister agencies to investigate the kidnapping of three children in August and bring the perpetrators to justice.
