Dangote Refinery Clarifies On Petrol Lifting, Pricing
Dangote Refinery has debunked reports claiming the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has lifted Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from its facility and is selling it at ₦897 per litre.
In a statement, Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, clarified that NNPC is yet to lift PMS from the refinery, and no price has been announced for the sale of petrol to the public.
“Dangote Petroleum Refinery has not finalized contractual agreements with NNPC, and therefore, the issue of fixing the price of petrol lifted from our refinery does not arise,” Chiejina stated.
The company emphasized that the PMS market is strictly regulated, and pricing falls under the purview of relevant government authorities.
Dangote Refinery urged the public to disregard the misleading report, assuring Nigerians of high-quality petroleum products that will be readily available nationwide.
