A former Deputy Chief Whip of the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Gbenga Ogunkanmi has congratulated the newly installed Chief Imam of Ileogbo, Sheikh Shaafi Abolore.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Ogunkanmi described Imam Abolore’s appointment as a well-deserved recognition of his dedication and service to the Muslim Ummah in Ileogbo.
He also congratulated Olu of Ileogbo, Oba Habeeb Agbaje, and Muslims Community for ensuring a hitch-free and smoooth transition in the Imamship of the town.
According to him, “I heartily congratulate Imam Shaafi Abolore on his installation as the new Chief Imam of Ileogbo. I also extend my congratulations to the Olu of Ileogbo, Oba Habeeb Adetoyese Agbaje, and the Muslim Community on the historic event.
“Imam Abolore leadership qualities, intellectual prowess, and commitment to the community made him an ideal choice for the sacred position.”
Ogunkanmi expressed optimism that Imam Abolore’s tenure would usher in a new era of peace, unity, and progress for the Muslim community in Ileogbo.
“I have no doubt that Imam Abolore will bring his wealth of experience and knowledge to bear on his new role, promoting interfaith harmony and development in Ileogbo.”
He urged the people of Ileogbo to support and cooperate with the new Chief Imam.
