In a remarkable display of commitment to his constituency, Rep. Bamidele Salam has commissioned and laying of foundation of eight multimillion-naira projects personally sponsored and facilitated across Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo Federal Constituency of Osun State, marking his first year anniversary in office at the 10th Assembly.
The Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke represented at the commissioning tour by his Chief of Staff, Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye and the PDP Chairman in the state, Hon Sunday Bisi, applauded Rep Bamidele for being a great Ambassador of the PDP since his assumption in office as a lawmaker.
The Governor was particularly delighted with Rep. Bamidele Salam for what he described as digging deep to bring succor to the plight of the people of the federal constituency, especially those who have been living without electricity for years due to dilapidated or complete lack of transformers, which have now been provided the lawmaker to boost electricity distributionto to the residents.
Some of the projects personally sponsored and facilitated by Rep Bamidele Salam and commissioned on Wednesday include: a 500kva transformer at Sekona, 500kva transformer at Bimbas junction, Ededimeji,
500kva transformer at Kanisuru community, zobo hotel area, Ede.
Also commissioned are
the 500kva power transformer at Ola town in Ejigbo local government,
500kva transformer at Akewula community in Ede.
Others are the Pensioners House in Ede, a project taken over by Rep Bamidele Salam in June this year when he visited the pensioners and completed same for commissioning, as well as
commisioning of a motorized Borehole at Saabo community, Ede North Local Government.
The tour also took the team to Idoosun, Egbedore local government, where the state party chairman, Hon Sunday Bisi also performed symbolic foundation laying of an ultra modern civic centre in the ancient town on behalf of the state Governor
Jubilant residents in different parts of the federal constituency were full of praises for the Public Account Committee Chairman in the House of Representatives, just as the state Governor enjoined them to continue to collaborate with the PDP administration in Osun State with a view to rekindling their trust in constitutional democracy.
Rep Bamidele Salam in company of other dignitaries on the commissioning tour also visited the palaces of Olú of Sekona and Olola of Ola, where the Royal Farhers, Oba Waheed Adebowale and Oba Oyewale Johnson Ajiboye, Orimadegun Ejitunde 11, respectively prayed for the state Governor, the lawmaker and sustenance of peaceful developments in the state.
The first year anniversary celebration continues with a mega empowerment programme scheduled for Friday, 20th September, 2024 at Ede.
