The Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has marked his 2nd anniversary in office, reaffirming his commitment to delivering more development projects to the citizens of the state.
Among the events a novelty match held to commemorate the anniversary, Governor Adeleke expressed his appreciation to his team for their support in making Osun State great.
He noted that despite the challenges faced, his administration has achieved significant milestones without incurring any debts.
The governor attributed his administration’s success to divine intervention, stating that he had made a covenant with God to prioritize the welfare of Osun citizens.
He encouraged his commissioners to redouble their efforts, warning that underperforming officials would be held accountable.
Governor Adeleke also announced plans to commission several projects across the state, starting from November 26.
He invited citizens to attend the commissioning ceremonies, which would showcase his administration’s achievements over the past two years.
According to him, “It has been a long journey and people still doubt it is two years because of the level of achievements.”
“I appreciate my team for being of great support in making Osun State great.
“Two years without borrowing a dime. This is two years. I told God that I will try my best not to put Osun in debt.
“They don’t understand what is going on in Osun but we have entered a covenant with God. He is doing great for us and atimes I am very surprised..
“We will not relent and on the 26, we shat start commissioning our projects. Òṣogbo is becoming beautiful now.”
It is not easy to defeat an incumbent. They were dazed and the only thing we can do to the citizens if Osun is to give them the dividends of democracy.
Governor Adeleke also warned his commissioners on their performances in the past two years and charged them to go back to the drawing board.
In his words, “My commissioners. Some of you are trying while some of you are not.
“If you want to join the train. Work. If you are not, maybe we will tell you to move aside and let another person to do the work.”
He also encouraged Osun people not to be mindful of what happened in Edo, Ondo and Ekiti.
“They should mind what Osun. I am doing all the goddam project without selecting. The projects belong to Osun people. Government is a continuum.
“On the 27th we will unveil our stewardship in the past two years.
“There is no senatorial districts we have not touched. We are fixing the roads everywhere. The people are experiencing development.”
