The former Deputy Chief Whip of the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Gbenga Ogunkanmi, urged Christians to embrace the values of unity, love, and tolerance.
Ogunkanmi gave the charge on Wednesday in his Christmas message, encouraged Nigerians to re-dedicate themselves to the principles of faith, hope, and love, which are the foundation of the Christmas celebration.
According to his message, “I want to congratulate all Christians on the occasion of Christmas, a time to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. May this special day bring joy, love, and peace to all Christians around the world.
“As we celebrate Christmas, let us emulate the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, who taught us the importance of love, compassion, and forgiveness. His teachings are a guiding light for us, and by following his example, we can become better versions of ourselves.
“”Let us values and strive to emulate the principles of Jesus Christ, who showed us that true greatness lies in serving others. He taught us to love our neighbors as ourselves, to forgive those who wrong us, and to be humble and kind. By embracing these values, we can create a more harmonious and peaceful world.
“By emulating the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, we can become agents of positive change in our communities. We can spread love, kindness, and compassion to those around us, and make a difference in the lives of others. Let us strive to be like Jesus, who came to serve and not to be served.
“As we celebrate Christmas, let us remember the true meaning of the season, which is to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ and to reflect on his teachings. May we be inspired by his example, and may we strive to live out his values of love, compassion, and kindness in our daily lives. Congratulations once again to all Christians on this special day
