The All Progressives Congress in the State of Osun has reversed the suspension of the former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in the state, Barr. Kolapo Alimi, null and void.
Osun APC reacted barely 24 hours after some Ward Executives of the Commissioner via a statement made available to newsmen, announced the suspension of the Erin Osun born Barrister, the State legal adviser, Barrister Adegoke Ogunsola.
Adegoke stated that the procedure by which the suspension was effected by the Ward 9 Executives of Irepodun Local Government Area where Alimi hailed from, is defective, irregular and devoid of procedural principle of law stated by the party’s constitution to effect punishment.
It would be recalled that the suspension had been condemned by larger percentage of APC members within and outside the State.
The statement reads, “The State Caretaker Committee Of the A!’ Progressives Congress (RP C), Osun State Chapter. received a letter titled “SUSPENSION OF BARR. KOLAPO MARUF FROM PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS WP.C)” dated June. 2021 and addressed to the Chairman of the State Caretaker Committee of the party from the AP C Caretaker Committee at Ward 09 (Elerin C) of Irepodun Local Council Area of Osun State
