The National Youth Service CorpNational Youth Service Corp officials on Wednesday held a free health initiative rural developments nationwide programme in Ileogbo.
The programme which was facilitated and sponsored by a non-profit development organization, Ileogbo Development Forum( IDF) held at Ayedire local government area of State of Osun.
It was gathered that over 200 people were tested with free testing kits and free medication such as anti-malaria, anti-biotics, hypertensive and multi vitamins drugs were given freely to beneficiaries.
The occasion has in attendance six qualified doctors, five pharmacists, five nurses and six NYSC who englightened the people with health talk.
Beneficiaries of the programme showed their appreciation and impressive gesture towards the organizer. Among the beneficiaries are the chief imam of Ileogbo and Mr Kola Abeeb.
Adulawonews learnt that the Health Initiative for Rural Development is an annual programme by the NYSC that seeks to provide health succour for the people in rural communities
Speaking to journalists Mrs Adisa Tawaklit who benefited from the programme said, “This is quite impressive as I’ve been tested for free and got drugs, something which I can’t afford personally.”
“IDF is known for its developmental strides in Ileogbo and environments. I’ve always been a beneficiary of their activities. I pray God continues to strengthen them in unison and continue to promote their developmental agenda,” she stated.
