Ogun 2023: Let Embrace Ourselves, Oluseye Tells APC Members

Hon. Akeem Oluseye (HAO) has called on members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State to approach the 2023 general elections with a common front, stating that the second term ambition of Governor Dapo Abiodun is sacrosanct to the development of the state.

Oluseye in a press statement personally signed by him, a copy made available to this medium noted that the challenges facing the party are temporary and do not define its members.

He said the party is defined by its greatness and numerical strength, the ingenuity and resilience of its members, as exemplified by the 2019 general elections results in the state which gave Prince Dapo Abiodun victory despite the gang up from the past administration.

The statement reads: “As 2023 General election is fast approaching, it is important for all dedicated members of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abeokuta North Local Government and Ogun State at large to come to the aid of the party by using all resources and machineries within our capacity to make the party come out victorious.

“It is an open secret that the party is going through a lot of challenges in Abeokuta North and other local government areas in the state. However, these challenges are temporary and do not define us.

“We are defined by the greatness of the party, the numerical strength, the ingenuity and resilience of its members, as exemplified by the 2019 general elections’ results in the state which gave Prince Dapo Abiodun victory despite the gang up and vehement opposition from the previous administration in the state.

“To all other members of our great party who have spent their fortune for the progress of the party in the state but whose efforts have not been rewarded, I want to say that a time is coming when we shall look at this period in retrospect and give thanks to the most high for the stormy waters we have waded through and the triumph we have recorded over the challenges that look so huge and gargantuan today.

“Coming 2023, there is the need for us to rally round the governor and other candidates vying under the party with a common front to give us the desired results. No Political party anywhere in the world can win at the poll with a divided house.

“It is high time for everyone to jettisoned their differences. Let us embrace each other and make the party an indivisible one ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

“The second term of Governor Dapo Abiodun is paramount and beneficial to the state development. We should not let those who do not have the vision take over the affairs of the state. In the last three and half years, Ogun State has witnessed tremendous achievements under the leadership of Governor Abiodun in all sectors.

“At this juncture, I want to reiterate my commitment to the progress of our party in Abeokuta North Local Government and Ogun State at large.

“I will like to appreciate all our political leaders in Abeokuta North and across the state for their steadfastness and to all my loyalists for their commitment in believing in our vision.

“My vision for Abeokuta North and Ogun State is intact as I shall continue to work for the growth of humanity”.
