As part of effort to enhance quality education in the communities, Osun Community Social Development Agency( CSDA) intervention in conjunction with The State Government of Osun have delivered Science Laboratories to schools in different communities in the state.
ADULAWONEWS reports that communities in Osun Central Senatorial District are, Iragbiji, Oke Baale, Ifelodun-Awosuru and Dada-Oga community all benefited from the agency’s interventions.
CSDA, among its micro projects commissioned ,on Tuesday, equipped and renovated science laboratories of NUD College, Iragbiji and NUD Grammar School, Oke-Baale.
The agency also rehabilitated and upgraded a block of two classrooms in Nawarul Deen Primary School, Iragbiji.

The agency also delivered functional water borehole facility to the Joint of Association of Persons Living With Disability, (JONAPWD) in the state.
Speaking after the commissioning of the borehole, the elated Secretary of the group of persons living with disabilities, Comrade Adetiba Lateef lauded CSDA and Osun government for extending the intervention to them.
According to Lateef ” We thank Mr.givernor for this kind gesture towards the community of people with disabilities particularly we that are living in Testing Ground area, Osogbo.
“This community has been suffering for getting access to water but with this intervention it will make us do a lot of things, particularly on our businesses and domestic shores” Lateef added.
CSDA also took its intervention to the doorstep of people selling planks in Ifelodun-Awosuru community, Osogbo, constructed a block of eight rooms of VIP toilet.
Commissioning the projects, Governor Gboyega Oyetola, represented by Commissioner for Rural Development and Community Affairs, Segun Olanibi,commended the good works of the Osun CSDA for ensuring that the dividends of democracy gets to the grassroots.
Oyetola also appreciated the World Bank for its prompt intervention towards the projects.
According to the governor, “I therefore appreciate Osun CSDA which is an agency of the state government for the good work the agency is doing in ensuring that the dividends of democracy reach the grassroots.
“I must also thank the World Bank for prompt intervention to cushion the effects of COVID-19 Pandemic and make life more meaningful for the citizens of this state.”
The Special Adviser to the Governor, Mumini Adekunle Olabamiji, in the same vein, thanked the Osun CSDA for its assiduous work.
Also speaking on the projects, the CSDA General Manager, Funmi Abokede said the project was called Osun COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic stimulus (OSUN-CARES) funded by World Bank and Osun Government.
Abokede explained that the Osun-CARES 37 micro projects is facing four sections; health, water, education including food and nutrition.
Explaining why the agency took its intervention to schools, Abokede said it was the school managements in conjunction with their students who requested that their schools science laboratories should be rehabilitated and upgraded with equipment so that they can come out with good grade in their examinations.
She urged the communities who benefited from the Osun CARE projects to make proper use of them and ensure that they maintained it.
The agency revealed that it will conclude its commissioning of already completed projects today with two motorized boreholes in Ibokun and heath post centre, Okeyelu, Olorunda Local Government Area, Osun
