Buhari Arrives Madinah For Official Visit

President Muhammadu Buhari (retired), has landed in Madinah, Saudi Arabia, to begin an eight-day official visit to the nation in the Middle East.

On Tuesday, at 9:10 a.m., the presidential plane carrying Buhari and a few of his aides departed from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja and touched down in Madinah at about 17 o’clock local time.

The president would do the Taraweeh prayer at the Masjid Nabawi while in Madinah before travelling for Makkah via Jeddah late on Wednesday for the shorter trip.

Malam Garba Shehu, the president’s spokesman, had on Monday, in a statement, revealed that this year’s official visit from April 11 to 19 would be Buhari’s last trip to the Kingdom as president.

NAN reports that the president last performed the Umrah in 2021.
