Oyo Govt Demotes Six Teachers Over Alleged Involvement In Exam Malpractices

 

No less than six classroom teachers has been demoted by the Oyo State government following their involvement in exam malpractices in the 2022 Senior School Certificate Examination conducted by the West African Examinations Council, WAEC.

This was announced in a memo by the Oyo State Post Primary Schools Teaching Service Commission and made available to newsmen.

It was stated that the commission decision to demote the teachers was as a result of the findings of the panel set to investigate them, which found them all guilty.

The demoted teachers are: Ogunkunle Musibau O from grade 14 to 13 and Popoola Akeem Abiola from grade 8 to 7 both of Owo Community Grammar School, Owo. Others are Mr Mustapha Bolanle Nureni from grade 15 to 14; Ammed Adamu Ademola from grade 10 to 9; Titilola Ajeleye John from grade 10 to 9 and Adegbola Abraham Titilope from grade 8 to 7 all from Progressive Secondary Grammar School, Tede.
