The executive and members of Osogbo progressives union have warned the special adviser to osun state governor on political matters Alhaji Muniru Raji not to sell his birth rights because of the pot of porridge his currently enjoying in politics.

This is as a result of the submission of Alhaji Muniru Raji who said on a notable radio station in Osogbo that Halleluyah estate belongs to Ede.
The indigenous association of Osogbo, described the submission of the special adviser to osun state governor on political matters Alhaji Muniru Raji as a ruse, bardadash, and unfounded.

According to the O.P.U home branch Chairman, Alhaji Akeem Woleola, the special adviser to the governor on political matters Alhaji Muniru Raji, whether knowingly or unknowingly should not in the name of wanting to please his bosses, sell out the inheritance of his forebearers for cheap and immaterial things.
“Perhaps Alhaji Muniru Raji is bereft of the history and happenings in Osogbo his country home before now, and as well not conversant with history and existing laws, he would not have gone on radio to feed the public with pit of lies on the Issues of Halleluyah Estate”.
We the bonafide indigenes of osogbo, are encyclopedia of history, and are educated to the level of knowing that,
aside the fact that so many indigenes of Osogbo own land by virtue of their forebears being the first settlers in the area now called Hallelujah, the
the capital territory act clearly stated the kilometers of land covered in favour of the state capital.
It therefore berates Alhaji Muniru Raji to disown his town on a course clearly stated by laws, and as well backed by historical background.
It would be recalled that the late Ataoja of osogbo oba Iyiola oyewale Matanmi the third and the Late Timi of Ede, Oba Tijani oyewusi constituted a fourteen man committee of highly reputed personalities on the 25th, September,1983.The committee members are Late pa.JULIUS OMIGBODUN, ALHAJI ASHIRU GARUBA, MR AJADI BADMUS, CHIEF T.T.OKETUNJI, ALHAJI S.B. DAODU AND MR B.ADE EYIOLAWI as the representatives of Osogbo.

Ede had Late ALHAJI SALAWUDEEN OLAYIWOLA, ALHAJI RAJI BABALOLA, Late CHIEF SOLA LAWAL, CHIEF AMUSA LAWAL, ALHAJI G.A. GBOYELADE AND HON. S.A. SHIYANBOLA as it’s representative.

According to the Osogbo progressives union, throughout the period of their meetings and after, Halleluyah Estate was regarded as Osogbo.

Is Alhaji Muniru Raji trying to finger the brain of those legends dead and Alive?

O.P.U, therefore calls on him to retract his statements on the issue of Halleluyah Estate and henceforth keep mute on matters relating to the natural inheritance of Osogbo,as indigenes will not play blind politics that will endanger the future of the yet unborn.

Meanwhile, Alhaji Akeem Woleola has denounced the purpoted statement in circulation, which listed his name among committee members constituted in certain quarters to settle land dispute between Ede and Osogbo after the chairman Ede Traditional council has purportedly installed a monarch on Halleluyah Estate an inheritance of osogbo.
According to Alhaji Woleola”I value my integrity and as such can not be a member of such committee, the ancestors will be angry with me if I so do”.
