Fountain University has moved to allay fears over the suspension of admission into its Law programme for the 2025/2026 academic session, announced recently by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

In a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer, Taoheed Alimi, the university management reassured stakeholders that its Law programme is fully accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC) and the Council of Legal Education.

According to the statement, the suspension of admission by JAMB only affects new intakes for the upcoming academic session and does not have any impact on current students enrolled in the Law programme.

The university also announced that its first set of Law graduates will be proceeding to the Nigerian Law School later this year.

In a related development, Fountain University has been selected as the first Nigerian university to participate in the 2025 International Dispute Week organized by Saudi Arabian Commercial Arbitration Moot, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

This achievement, according to the university, is a testament to its commitment to excellence and its students’ exceptional abilities.

The university management has reassured stakeholders that it is working closely with the relevant authorities to resolve the matter and ensure that its Law programme continues to meet the highest standards of excellence.
