Nigerian Youths Are Lawbreakers- FG

The Federal government has described Nigerian youths as lawbreakers, calling on Christian and Muslim organisations to guide them to follow a righteous path.

Specifically, the Plateau director of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Nanyak Zinkat, called the youths rule of law violators.

Mr Zinkat explained, “The youths are the violators of the rule of law. Therefore, there are reasons to track them right and call on the management of the various religious groups to help manage our youths.”

He explained that peace must be preached at all levels for the youths to internalise the importance of peaceful co-existence.

The NOA official stated this during a courtesy visit to the headquarters of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) on Tuesday in Jos.

Mr Zinkat added that the advocacy programme was a continuation of the national programme on building a people of peace towards enhancing national security and rebranding the country for social transformation.

The NOA director also mentioned that the leadership of various religious groups could help spread the message of peace to the youths to stop various social vices that could hinder the growth and development of the country’s economy.

Mr Zinkat, who presented the Nigerian flag to both CAN and JNI, pointed out that the act symbolised peace and showed that the people in the country were together and not divided.

He further.explained that NOA produced the flag in collaboration with Access Bank Plc to help Nigerians remember what the flag stands for and the need to maintain peace to sustain the founding fathers’ efforts.
