Coalition Of Oodua Self Determination Groups (COSEG) has described the letter written by the Osun State Civil Society Coalition as a blackmail and lies to support their principal.
This was contained in a press Statement issued and signed by the Chairman of the group,Dayo Ogunlana.
According to him, “the letter deserves to be put into the dustbin as it is a one sided writup conjured to destroy Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.
“we therefore condemn the letter and call on president Buhari to disregard it.”
He said Ogbeni right to movement any where in Nigeria and right of association cannot be impugned or restricted by people who don’t like his face or envious of his support base.We want to remind those who wrote that letter that yes Ogbeni is a minister of federal republic of Nigeria and this does not stop him from associating with party members and well wishers.Attacking him during the course of his movement is illegal, criminal and babarick. Having that huge support despite leaving governance for a long time shows the level of trust and love people have for him. It is therefore a blacmail as a result of jealousy for anyone or group to criminally attack a courageousan with criminal intent to kill and not to expect a defence from him or a consequence. Let all these attacks stop and peace restored to osun”.
The statement read in part, the group condemns violence being imposed in osun by who they call agent of darkness.
we have several times called on political players to allow decorum in osun but we felt bad that on several occasions the Oranmiyan house was destroyed allegedly by same people who have always said osun is peaceful. What kind of peace is that, where people’s properties are being destroyed at will in the heart of the town severally.
We think as omoluabis,we should search ourselves and reflect on how we got here.
