The Kwara State Fire Service has confirmed the incident of a commercial bus conveying passengers from Lagos which went a flame upon reaching Ilorin, the state capital on Friday night.
In a statement released on Saturday, the spokesperson, Hassan Adekunle stated that the incident happened at about 19:59hrs, opposite Challenge Bookshop, Challenge Area, Ilorin.
Mr Adekunle said that the bus was burnt severely.
He said no life was lost as the firemen were able to stop the ravaging fire on time thereby preventing other vehicles within the area from getting burnt.
Mr Adekunle urged the public never to hesitate to call fire brigade for rescue in case of any fire incident within their environs.
