Badmus Sues for Peace, Warns Against Extremism During New Year Celebration

The Honourable Commissioner for Regional Integration and Special Duties in Osun State, Engr. Olalekan Badmus, has sued for peace among the people of the state, while he urged the need for all new year celebrant against extremism.

He made this know through the press release issued in commemoration of the yuletide in Osogbo.

Engr. Badmus congratulated the entire people of the state for being counted among survivors of the expiring year, while he noted that it was a great divine gift to be alive.

According to him, “I want to identify with our people today and of course rejoice for what we have enjoyed from January till today. God has been really faithful and merciful and we thank him for that.

“While we are celebrating we must remember that our security matters a lot. We must not compromise the peace of the state. We must also seek to avoid extremism when going about our feasting.

“We have every right to celebrate the new year, in whichever way we deem right but we must preserve ourselves and our neighborhood.”
