There was heavy security presence at the premise of the Federal High Court, Osogbo as the court set to deliver a rulling on the jurisdiction to hear the case filed by the Osun Progressives (TOP) demanding the court to declare the August 31, 2021 ward Congress held by the caucus as authentic.
The caucus has earlier approached the court seeking the nullification of the Gbenga Elegbeleye led ward Congress committee in the state, noting that due process was not followed in consonance with the Congress guidelines and the party constitution.
However, the defendants in the suite has earlier filed a counter affidavits seeking the court to trash out the case as it lack jurisdiction to entertain such case.
Rulling on the jurisdiction was slated for today by Justice Emmanuel Ayoola of the Federal High Court and members of the party were waiting patiently for the ruling.
