Osun Amotekun Apprehends 8 Suspected Armed Robbers

The Osun Amotekun Corps has apprehended eight suspected armed robbers specialising in terrorizing Osun and it’s environs.

The suspects identified as Adekunle Joseph, 33 years, from Iragbiji, Uchenna Alom, 42 years from Ojoro LG Anambra but lives in Idi-Iroko Sasa, Ogun State, Monday Nweke, 32 years, from Ebonyi State, lives in Ketu, Lagos State, Sikiru Kareem, 26 years, from Ikire, Osun State, Oyekanmi Maruf, 32 years, From Modakeke, Osun State, Adebayo Tobi, 20 years, from Iwo, Osun State, Ifeanyi njoku, 32 years, from Ebonyi State and Olarewaju Emmanuel, 23 years, Ipetu – Ijesa, Osun State, were arrested at Modakeke while trying to carryout operation at Ilesa.

This was revealed by the field Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps, Comrade Amitolu Shittu, confirmed the arrest to journalists on Sunday in Osogbo, while parading the Suspected criminals in their office.

He said the suspects were nabbed in a hotel following an intelligent surveillance by the officers of the corps in Modakeke while trying to burgles a shop at Ilesa.

The suspects were confessed to being engaged in break and Entry of shops and carted away their valuables.

They have been transferred to the appropriate authority for discreet investigation and prosecution.

He commended the DSS operatives for their painstaking investigation and other security agencies for their corporation all these while.
