The State Police Command in Oyo have arrested and arraigned a businessman simlpy identified as Yusuf Mufutau before the Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court sitting in badan, for assaulting his father known as Bolaji.
The 37-year-old man was charged with causing grievous harm.
The prosecution counsel Philip Amusan told the court that the defendant committed the offence on March 20, at about 1:00 a.m, at SW4/230, Ile-Ike, Foko, Ibadan.
The police accused the defendant of hitting his father on the forehead.
Mr Amusan added that the offence contravened section 355 of the criminal laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The defendant, however, pleadednnot guilty to the charge.
Magistrate Abimbola Amole-Ajimoti admitted the defendant to bail in N20,000 and two sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the case until May 26 for a definite hearing.
