In the Guma Local Government Area of Benue State, suspected herdsmen have massacred no less than 34 people who were seeking refuge at a primary school at Mgban in Nyiev council ward.
Just two days have passed after the horrific murder of 46 people at Umogidi in the state’s Otukpo LGA.
The incident was referred to as genocide by the LGA chairman, Mike Aba, who stated through the local government’s security officer, Christopher Waku.
Waku, who claimed to be at the scene of the crime, claimed that 10 bodies were found on the road, indicating that the victims were fleeing the attack when they were shot at. He also claimed that 24 bodies were found in the classrooms where the victims were seeking refuge.
The State Command Spokesperson, Catherine Anene confirmed the attack but asked for more time to get the details.
