In the wake of the tragic demise of the promising artist Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, famously known as Mohbad, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, Telu I, the Oluwo of Iwoland, has issued a heartfelt appeal for calm and assurance of justice.

ADULAWO NEWS reports that the untimely passing of Mohbad has sent shockwaves throughout Yorubaland, Nigeria, and the global entertainment community. Oba Akanbi expressed his deepest condolences to Mohbad’s immediate family and the entire entertainment industry.

Oluwo in a press statement called the Nigerian government to ensure that a thorough investigation is conducted to shed light on the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death. “Justice must prevail,” he emphasized.

Addressing the fervent protesters who have taken to the streets in the aftermath of Mohbad’s death, Oba Akanbi urged them to maintain civility and decorum during their demonstrations. He implored Mohbad’s passionate fans to leave the streets and return home, highlighting the risk of potential hijacking of the protests by miscreants if not properly managed.

Stressing the importance of cooperation between the youth and the government in seeking justice, the Oluwo of Yorubaland noted, “Stakeholders are already working to ensure justice for Mohbad. The youth should cooperate with the government by conducting themselves in a peaceful manner.”
