First Lady Oluremi Tinubu Arrives in Osun For Groundbreaking of Girls’ School

The First Lady of Nigeria, Oluremi Tinubu, arrived in Osogbo, Osun State, on Tuesday, to launch the Alternative High School for Girls.

The school, located on Oke D.O. Ilesa Road, Osogbo, is an initiative of the Renewed Hope Initiative, a non-governmental organization (NGO) focused on improving the lives of families in Nigeria.

Tinubu was received at the Government House, Oke-Fia, Osogbo, by the wives of governors, led by Titilola Adeleke, the wife of Osun State Governor. Other wives of governors present included Bamidele Abiodun (Ogun), Sefiyat Ododo (Kogi), Professor Olufolake AbdulRazaq (Kwara), Tobore Oborevwori (Delta), Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Betsy Obaseki (Edo), and Olayemi Oyebanji (Ekiti).

ADULAWO News reports that the alternative High School for Girls aims to provide a supportive learning environment for girls and promote education and empowerment. The First Lady’s visit and support for the initiative highlight the importance of education and gender equality in Nigeria.”
