PHOTOS: Nigerian Army Unveils Multi-Purpose Shopping Mall In Lagos

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, has unveiled the newly built Nigerian Army Shopping Complex at Bonny Military Cantonment, in Lagos state.

Lagbaja lauded the Commander Corps of Engineers, Major General Philip Eromosele, officers and soldiers of the Corps for their ingenuity by keying effectively into the transformation agenda of the COAS to revolutionize Nigerian Army personnel welfare through the provision of comfortable accommodation and befitting living and working environment.

This was made known in a statement signed by the Director, of Army Public Relations, Onyema Nwachukwu, and shared on the force’s Facebook page on Thursday.

The statement read, “The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, today Thursday 25 April 2024, commissioned the newly constructed Nigerian Army (NA) Shopping Complex at Bonny Military Cantonment, Lagos.

“He commended their exceptional skills and effectiveness in executing myriads of diverse projects for the Nigerian Army and the nation at large,

“The Nigerian Army Corps of Engineers have so far, amongst several other successful projects constructed over 40 roads and recovered over 58 Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) in the Joint Task Force North East Operation Hadin Kai theatre as well as the safe clearance of the 2002 Bomb explosion scene in Ikeja Cantonment, Lagos.

“Today’s commissioning of this Shopping Mall represents a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to enhance the welfare and well-being of our personnel and their families,’ he said.

Lagbaja appreciated President Bola Tinubu for his tireless support and continuous guidance.
