Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has been unanimously elected as the Chairman of the Southwest Governors’ Forum. This decision was made during a meeting of the six governors from the Southwest region of Nigeria, held in Lagos.
According to a statement from the Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Lagos Governor, Wale Ajetunmobi, Governor Sanwo-Olu’s election was a unanimous decision by the governors present at the meeting.
As Chairman of the Southwest Governors’ Forum, Governor Sanwo-Olu will play a key role in promoting regional cooperation and development among the six states in the Southwest region, which include Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, and Ekiti.
This development is seen as a significant milestone in the region’s efforts to foster greater collaboration and unity among its member states.
